Authorities initially said there were no indications the blasts were terrorist attacks but the Islamic State (IS) group claimed responsibility. “Five Shiites were killed and six others wounded in a bomb blast by Islamic State fighters in the centre of Manila in the Philippines,” IS propaganda outfit Amaq said in a statement.
