Trump finally tweets (and promptly deletes) a unifying message

Trump finally tweets (and promptly deletes) a unifying messagePresident Donald Trump is all about togetherness this weekend. POTUS woke up, skipped his usual vicious Saturday morning tweetstorm, and instead, waited until the afternoon to tweet a simple, yet powerfully unifying two letters in the form of the word: "We." Image: screengrab/twitterNow, we're assuming this was an accidental tweet — which Trump, along with his Press Secretary, Sean Spicer, are very familiar with — because the message was promptly deleted. President Trump has already proven to be truly just so horrible at using the social media platform that this comes as no surprise, but the tweet spoke volumes to Trump's Twitter followers. While we may never know the full message Trump intended to type, many Twitter users called attention to the fact that with this single (probably accidental) tweet, Trump appeared to finally be acting like an inclusive, unifying president, rather than using the platform to bash Democrats. How Sad! This is the tweet when trump became president. pic.twitter.com/W3oRAitMgc — judgecrayon (@Judgecrayon) May 13, 2017 Pure awesomeness. Minimalist, yet inclusive. The most unifying thing Trump has tweeted yet! t.co/k9OWPf1lZV — MarcyJMiller (@MarcyJMiller) May 13, 2017 And with this tweet, Donald Trump truly became the President of the United States pic.twitter.com/C4J4kYzmos — Joey Amiel (@JoeyAmiel) May 13, 2017 Trump quickly deleted this tweet because obviously he meant "I" pic.twitter.com/behte8Ka40 — Andy McDonald (@iamandymcdonald) May 13, 2017 Others simply mocked the president for once again, straight-up failing on at Twitter and had a little fun of their own. When he found out it meant more than just himself, he promptly deleted it. t.co/OcQZVI50FQ — UNITE & FIGHT (@stopthenutjob) May 13, 2017 What the heck. Did Trump just butt dial twitter? pic.twitter.com/p5B0IIPpgn — Austin Braun (@AustinOnSocial) May 13, 2017 How is Donald Trump this bad at Twitter? pic.twitter.com/9Ba9cIkcP5 — Mark Pygas (@MarkPygas) May 13, 2017 Image: screengrab/twitter No I will not turn off my notifications b/c I would miss the opportunity to witness tweets like these… I mean we all do it, but Trump  pic.twitter.com/Z5zXCQNxoC — sittinginbednaked (@nakedtakinnotes) May 13, 2017 PLEASE TELL ME SOMEONE GOT A SCREENSHOT OF TRUMP JUST TWEETING THE WORD "WE" — Lusty Justice (@lustyjustice) May 13, 2017 However, this deleted tweet meant Trump would be back soon with another message. And back he was. @BBCLBicker @fellowhoodlums Trump probably pressed send by mistake. He will be back! — Vickie @neoviky (@neoviky) May 13, 2017 Approximately 20 minutes later, Trump returned to compose the following tweet about his interview on Fox News tonight. Notice this message did not even start with "We."  My gosh. Will be interviewed by @JudgeJeanine on @FoxNews at 9:00 P.M. (Saturday night). Enjoy! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 13, 2017 The President was quickly reminded that though tweets may be gone, they're never forgotten. @realDonaldTrump @JudgeJeanine @FoxNews Your original tweet was MUCH better (and more coherent!) pic.twitter.com/xCFqpO2pIj — Jules Suzdaltsev (@jules_su) May 13, 2017 What a wild ride we're all on.
