Teen Stays in HIV Remission 12 Years Without Drugs, But Researchers Don't See Permanent CureResearchers from the Institut Pasteur in Paris presented their findings at the 8th International AIDS Society (IAS) Conference and said they are still trying to understand why the teen has been able to stay off HIV treatment without the virus becoming detectable again. The teen was born in 1996 to an HIV-positive mother and underwent antiretroviral therapy for six years, according to researchers.
