US existing home sales hit two-year low as slump persistsSales of existing homes in the United States fell in July for the fourth straight month, hitting the slowest pace in two years, according to an industry survey released Wednesday. With 77 straight months of price increases, would-be homeowners were finding a tight market difficult to navigate amid general weakness in the housing sector, according to the National Association of Realtors. “Too many would-be buyers are either being priced out, or are deciding to postpone their search until more homes in their price range come onto the market,” NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun said in a statement.
