Migrants, troops slowly build up on Guatemala-Mexico border
More than 200 mostly Honduran migrants rested on a bridge at the Guatemala-Mexico border waiting for the arrival of others and hoping sheer numbers will improve their chances of entering Mexico and continuing their journey north. Across the river from Tecun Uman, in the Mexican border town of Ciudad Hidalgo, National Guard troops with riot shields trucked in throughout Friday afternoon in anticipation of the migrants’ next move. Mexico’s government has said migrants entering the country without registering will not be allowed to pass from the border area.

Israel says Iran seeking to build precision missiles in Lebanon
The Israeli army on Thursday accused Iran of collaborating with Lebanon’s Hezbollah to assemble precision-guided missiles that could cause “massive” human casualties in Israel. Tehran and the Shiite movement plan to convert “stupid rockets into precision-guided missiles”, Israeli army spokesman Jonathan Conricus told journalists in a conference call. Israel has carried out hundreds of strikes in Syria against what it says are Iranian and Hezbollah targets.
Two NYC women plead guilty to plan to build bomb for attack on U.S.
Two women inspired by radical Islam pleaded guilty in New York City on Friday to teaching and distributing information about the manufacture and use of an explosive, destructive device and weapon of mass destruction, federal prosecutors said. Asia Siddiqui and Noelle Velentzas, both U.S. citizens in their 30s from the borough of Queens, face up to 20 years in prison when they are sentenced. U.S. Attorney Richard Donoghue said in a statement the defendants studied some of the most deadly attacks in U.S. history as a blueprint for their plans to kill American law enforcement and military personnel.
