Switzerland to lift ban on gay, bisexual men giving blood

New rules for blood donors in Switzerland will come into effect on July 1.Switzerland on Tuesday said it would lift its 40-year ban on gay and bisexual men giving blood but will still prohibit donations from those who have had sex in the last year. Switzerland's 1977 ban on blood donations from men who have sex with men (MSM) preceded the discovery of HIV.
